Odisha FC Unveil Squad for Kalinga Super Cup 2025 Ahead of Clash with Punjab FC

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC have announced their squad for the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup 2025, just a day before they take on Punjab FC in their opening encounter at the Kalinga Stadium on Monday. With their eyes set on reclaiming the title, the Kalinga Warriors are ready to make a strong comeback in their favourite tournament.

Returning as last year’s runners-up and champions in the 2023 edition, Odisha FC are hoping to go one step further this time and lift the silverware once again. The squad, led by a mix of experienced internationals and promising domestic talent, reflects the club’s ambitions on both national and continental fronts.

The Kalinga Super Cup 2025, which kicked off on Sunday in Bhubaneswar, is being hosted in Odisha for the second consecutive year. Featuring 15 of India’s premier football clubs—13 from the Indian Super League (ISL) and two from the I-League—the tournament promises high-octane action in a knockout format.

Unlike previous editions, this year’s format leaves no room for error, with teams battling it out in direct elimination matches. The stakes are higher than ever, with the winners earning a coveted spot in the AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) Playoffs, providing a gateway to international competition.

Odisha FC’s journey in the Super Cup has been impressive since their debut in 2023. After lifting the trophy in their inaugural campaign and narrowly missing out in the final last year against East Bengal FC, the Juggernauts are determined to reclaim their dominance. Last year’s final saw them lose 3-2 in extra time to East Bengal, who will now return as defending champions.
