
Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC, in collaboration with DSYS (Department of Sports and Youth Services), FAO (Football Association of Odisha), and Reliance Foundation, proudly announces the successful conclusion of its inaugural AIFF D License Course. The five-day course aimed to nurture football coaching talent within the state, promoting local expertise and fostering growth.
Conducted in Bhubaneswar, the course witnessed active participation from 18 candidates, ranging from ages 22 to 69. Notably, the inclusive approach saw a female candidate among the enthusiastic participants.
Coach Instructor Priya Darshan, appointed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), led the course, marking a significant milestone in Odisha FC’s commitment to developing local coaching talent. The initiative aligns with the club’s dedication to football development in Odisha.
Odisha FC President, Mr. Raj Athwal, emphasized the club’s primary goal of contributing to Odisha’s footballing landscape. He highlighted the importance of professionally trained Odia coaches for the club’s overall success, expressing gratitude to Coach Priya Darshan for conducting the course seamlessly.
Santosh Kashyap, Odisha FC Senior Team Assistant Coach, highlighted the abundance of football enthusiasts running small academies without coaching licenses. The course aimed to provide these enthusiasts with an opportunity to acquire a coaching license and enhance their coaching philosophy.
Bishes Kumar Panda, Youth & Grassroots Manager of Odisha FC, expressed optimism about the future of coaching development in the state. He underlined that the completed course is just the beginning, with plans for more coaching license courses to further strengthen Odisha’s footballing community.
