Despite entering the halftime break trailing by a solitary goal, Odisha FC faced a relentless Central Coast Mariners in the second session. Mikael Doka netted the opening goal for the Australian side in the 35th minute, setting the tone for the match. The second half witnessed an intensified offensive display from Central Coast Mariners, with Storm Roux finding the net in the 52nd minute and Mikael Doka securing his brace with a successful penalty conversion in the 77th minute. Ronald Barcellos sealed the victory with an 89th-minute strike.
With this convincing win, Central Coast Mariners have established a substantial advantage going into the second leg of the semifinals. Odisha FC now faces the challenging task of overturning the 0-4 deficit in the home leg, scheduled to take place at Kalinga Stadium on March 14.
