Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC has made significant strides in strengthening their youth ranks by signing two promising youngsters, Subham Bhattacharya and Narendra Naik, from the renowned RF Young Champs program. This move underscores the club’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent and solidifies their position as a key player in the development of Indian football.
Subham Bhattacharya, a towering center-back known for his exceptional ball-playing abilities, brings a unique blend of composure and tactical awareness to the team. His ability to initiate attacks from the backline makes him a versatile asset, and he is set to join the men’s first-team squad under the guidance of head coach Sergio Lobera.
Narendra Naik, a commanding defensive midfielder, adds a strong presence to the heart of the midfield. Known for his ability to shield the backline while contributing to build-up play, Naik’s strengths in both defensive and offensive phases make him a valuable addition to the club’s reserves squad.
Both players showcased their dominance during the Reliance Foundation Development League national group stages, catching the eye of Odisha FC’s scouting team. The club sees immense potential in Bhattacharya and Naik and believes they can become key contributors to the team in the future.
Club President Raj Athwal expressed his enthusiasm about the new signings: “We are thrilled to welcome Subham and Narendra to the Odisha FC family.
