Bhubaneswar: With the onset of scorching temperatures and the prediction of a severe heat wave by the weather department, the Odisha Government has taken proactive measures to ensure the well-being of students and educators across the state. In an official statement released today, the government announced the commencement of summer vacation for all government, aided, and private schools from April 25 onwards.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the government has also implemented temporary adjustments to school timings leading up to the vacation period. Starting from April 22 until April 24, all schools will conduct morning classes from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This decision aims to mitigate the adverse effects of the rising temperatures and safeguard the health of students and staff members.
During the vacation period, all teaching activities for educators will be conducted under the direct supervision of the elementary education director, secondary education director, and higher education director. This ensures that essential educational initiatives continue seamlessly while prioritizing the safety and comfort of everyone involved.
