Odisha CM to Distribute Appointment Letters to 16,009 Junior Teachers

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to distribute appointment letters to 16,009 junior teachers in various primary and upper primary schools across the state this Saturday. The recruitment ceremony and training program for these newly appointed Junior Teacher-Teachers will take place at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, organized by the School and Mass Education Department.

During the event, Chief Minister Majhi will offer guidance to the newly appointed teachers, emphasizing the importance of quality teaching in shaping the future of education in Odisha. The ceremony will also see the participation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, and other prominent figures, including S&ME Minister Nityananda Gond and Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, along with senior officials from the department.

This initiative is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education in the state and strengthening its education infrastructure. As the state government aims to realize the vision of a ‘Viksit Odisha’ by 2036, the appointment of these teachers will play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

The distribution of appointment letters will include teachers from various districts, with notable allocations as follows: 424 in Angul, 600 in Balasore, 479 in Bargarh, 260 in Bhadrak, 1080 in Balangir, 65 in Boudh, 893 in Cuttack, and 21 in Debagarh. Other districts such as Dhenkanal (583), Gajapati (13), Ganjam (1264), Jagatsinghpur (88), Jajpur (872), Jharsuguda (38), Kalahandi (811), Kandhamal (151), Kendrapara (1038), Keonjhar (1329), Khordha (753), Koraput (922), Malkangiri (555), Mayurbhanj (827), Nabarangpur (860), Nayagarh (83), Nuapada (221), Puri (733), Rayagada (511), Sambalpur (218), Sonepur (157), and Sundargarh (160) will also see appointments.
