Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Launches ₹375 Crore Development Projects in Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday announced a series of developmental initiatives for Kaptipada sub-division in Mayurbhanj district, unveiling 52 completed projects worth ₹100 crore and laying foundation stones for 106 new projects amounting to ₹275 crore. The projects were launched as part of the ‘Bikasha Pathe Mayurbhanj’ programme in Patpur, Udala, signaling the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and public services in the tribal heartland.

The projects, spearheaded by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, cover a wide range of essential services, including the construction of Anganwadi centers, rejuvenation of ponds, establishment of community health centers, and setting up of cooperative societies. In a move to uphold and promote tribal heritage, the initiative also includes the construction of several temples and a dedicated community center for the Bathudi community.

Speaking at the event, CM Majhi highlighted the far-reaching impact these initiatives would have on the region, ensuring better healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities. He reaffirmed the state government’s vision of ‘Viksit Odisha’, emphasizing that such efforts would bring sustainable growth and prosperity to the people of Mayurbhanj.
