
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a significant boost for women empowerment by increasing incentives for Mission Shakti Community Support Staff. The decision, benefiting 59,509 personnel, recognizes their crucial role in driving positive change at the grassroots level.
In a press release, the Chief Minister highlighted the remarkable contributions of Community Support Staff, including MBK, CRP-CM, Bank Mitra, Prani Mitra, and Jeebika Sahayika. The revised incentives, applicable retroactively from October 2023, aim to motivate and acknowledge their dedicated efforts.
Under the new scheme, MBK, Bank Mitra, and Jeebika Sahayika will receive Rs 10,750 per month, up from the previous Rs 6,750. Similarly, Krushi Mitra and Prani Mitra will see an increase to Rs 6,250 from Rs 3,750. CRP-CM will witness an enhancement to Rs 6,100 from the earlier Rs 3,600.
To implement these changes, the State government has earmarked an additional budget of Rs 96.51 crore.
