
Bhubaneswar: In a gesture of solidarity and support, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 Crore for the flood-affected state of Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh has recently witnessed extensive damage to life and property due to incessant rains and severe flooding.
The aid will be disbursed from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid in the recovery efforts in Himachal Pradesh.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister Patnaik expressed his deep concern for the people affected by the ongoing crisis and the substantial loss of property due to the relentless rains and devastating floods.
He conveyed, “My government and the people of Odisha stand firmly by the people of Himachal at this hour of crisis.”
The allocated funds will be directed towards essential repair and restoration work in the flood-stricken areas of Himachal Pradesh.
