Bhubaneswar: In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare accessibility, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 73 government hospitals across 15 districts under the ‘Ama Hospital’ initiative on Saturday. The ‘Ama Hospital’ project aims to provide patient-centric and quality healthcare services to the people of the state.
The Chief Minister also launched the Patient Feedback System through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and the Biometric Attendance System employing facial recognition software. These technological interventions are designed to streamline hospital processes and enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients.
Under the 5T Ama Hospital initiative, several hospitals across districts have been transformed, including five in Bargarh, seven in Sundargarh, four in Sambalpur, four in Dhenkanal, six in Keonjhar, two in Jharsuguda, four in Jagatsinghpur, five in Kendrapara, nine in Mayurbhanj, 13 in Ganjam, four in Kalahandi, four in Rayagada, four in Nuapada, two in Malkangiri, and three in Kandhamal.
The Chief Minister also dedicated dialysis centers in sub-divisional hospitals at Karanjia in Mayurbhanj, Kuchinda in Sambalpur, Hinjilikatu in Ganjam, Khariar in Nuapada, and Padampur in Bargarh district, reinforcing the government’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare services.
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik interacted with residents from various districts, who expressed their satisfaction with the convenient access to essential health facilities in their communities.
The event was attended by Ministers Niranjan Pujari, Rajendra Dholakia, Sarada Nayak, Sudam Marndi, and several MLAs from different locations. The coordination of the program was managed by 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian, reflecting a collective effort to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the state.
Health Secretary Shalini Pandit and other officials were also present, marking a collaborative commitment to advancing healthcare accessibility in Odisha.
