Odisha Clears ₹3,898 Cr Investment Proposals, Set to Create 7,464 Jobs Across 11 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has approved 19 new investment projects worth ₹3,898.54 crore. The decision was taken during the 136th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, IAS.

These projects are expected to generate 7,464 employment opportunities across 11 districts—Angul, Balasore, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh—ensuring equitable regional development.

Key Sectoral Investments:

Steel, Iron & Ferro Alloys:
Odisha’s core manufacturing sectors received a major boost with four major projects:

  • TATA Steel will increase its crude steel capacity to 7.1 MTPA with an investment of ₹700 crore in Kalinganagar, Jajpur, creating 375 jobs.
  • Sree Metaliks Ltd will expand its Keonjhar unit with an ₹885 crore investment, adding 950 jobs.
  • Lal Baba Seamless Tubes Pvt Ltd will invest ₹200 crore in a precision tube facility in Cuttack, generating 500 jobs.
  • Surlon India Ltd will set up a ₹55 crore railway component unit in Sundargarh, employing 1,000 people.

Industrial Gases:
Linde India Ltd will establish a high-capacity air separation unit in Jajpur with an investment of ₹425 crore, producing 12 lakh MT of gases annually and generating 100 jobs.

Food & Beverages:
Bhuvaneshwari Foods & Beverages Pvt Ltd will set up a ₹300 crore beverage manufacturing unit in Khordha, providing 820 employment opportunities.

Logistics and Infrastructure:

  • ACME Clean Energy Pvt Ltd will build a ₹366.50 crore jetty-less floating terminal in Ganjam to enhance maritime logistics, creating 75 jobs.
  • Vasanth Vihar Constructions will develop a ₹134.50 crore logistics park in Khordha, adding 296 jobs.

Tourism & Hospitality:
Six major projects in Khordha, Ganjam, Angul, and Koraput include:

  • Birendra Hotels (₹105 Cr), Specbru Hotels (₹99.86 Cr), Surya Eco Resort (₹86.73 Cr), Tesko Hotels and Malls (₹80 Cr), Satva Oleo (₹78 Cr), and TK International (₹55.50 Cr).
    Together, these will generate 1,448 jobs and boost Odisha’s tourism economy.

Chemicals & Plastics:

  • Jay Shree Tea & Industries Ltd will set up a Single Super Phosphate (SSP) plant in Balasore with an investment of ₹61 crore, generating 200 jobs.
  • HVG Industries Pvt Ltd will invest ₹55.05 crore in Khordha to develop a plastic and chemical unit, creating 206 jobs.

Metal Downstream & Allied Sectors:

  • Kalinga Infra Projects Ltd will establish a ₹60 crore crash barriers manufacturing unit in Sambalpur, generating 314 jobs.
  • Shree Jagannath Supply Co will set up a molasses blending and warehousing facility in Keonjhar with an investment of ₹51.40 crore, creating 110 jobs.

Apparel & Textile:

  • Shree Sidhi Vinayak Texcolours Pvt. Ltd will set up a ₹100 crore yarn dyeing and fabric processing unit in Khordha, projected to create 1,070 jobs.

These strategic investments reflect the Odisha Government’s focus on inclusive industrialization and regional development. With continued emphasis on sectors ranging from core manufacturing and logistics to tourism and agri-processing, the state is steadily advancing toward its vision of “Samruddh Odisha by 2036.”
