Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Exam Rescheduled to December 15

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced that the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Preliminary Examination 2023 will now be held on December 15, 2024. Originally slated for October 27, the exam was postponed following Cyclonic Storm Dana, which impacted parts of Odisha.

In an official notification, the OPSC confirmed the new tentative date, stating, “The Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 15.12.2024 (Sunday). Detailed programme on the said examination shall be notified later.”

This year’s examination aims to fill 399 Group A and Group B positions across various departments. Candidates who have registered for the OCS 2023 are encouraged to monitor the OPSC website (www.opsc.gov.in) for any further updates or changes to the exam schedule.

The OPSC conducts the OCS examination in three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and a Personality Test or Interview.
