Odisha Chief Minister Honours Athletes Pranati Nayak and Mannata Mishra

Bhubaneswar: Today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated two outstanding female athletes from Odisha, Pranati Nayak and Mannata Mishra, recognizing their stellar performances on the international sports stage.

Pranati Nayak, a gifted gymnast affiliated with the Odisha AMNS/ India Gymnastics High-Performance Center (HPC), secured the Bronze Medal at the prestigious FIG World Cup 2024 held in Cairo. Her remarkable achievement brought immense pride to the state, and in acknowledgment of her excellence, the Chief Minister presented Pranati with a well-deserved cash award of Rs 5,00,000.

Mannata Mishra, an accomplished swimmer associated with the Odisha IIS Swimming HPC, received accolades from the Chief Minister for her outstanding performance at the 1st BIMSTEC Aquatics Championship 2024. Mannata clinched the silver medal, marking a significant milestone in her career as it was her maiden international medal. In recognition of her achievement and promising talent, she was honored with a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000.
