
Bhubaneswar: The official notification on Friday confirmed that the Budget session of the Odisha Assembly is scheduled to commence on February 5. The week-long session will kick off with the address by Governor Raghubar Das and extend until February 13.
Over the course of this five-working-day session, the state Finance Minister, Bikram Keshari Arukha, is slated to present the interim budget for the financial year 2024-25 on February 8. Additionally, the appropriation bill for the vote-on-account is set to be tabled on February 9.
This session holds particular significance as it marks the concluding assembly session of the 16th Odisha Assembly before the upcoming general elections.
