
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly is set to kick off its Budget session on Monday, spanning from February 5 to 13. During this brief session, Finance Minister Vikram Keshari Arukh is slated to present an interim budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025.
This session holds significance as it marks the last assembly meeting before the impending general elections later this year.
Ahead of the commencement, Odisha Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallik has called for a meeting on Sunday evening, involving legislators from all parties. The objective is to discuss the schedule and ensure coordination for the smooth functioning of the House during the Budget session. The Speaker is anticipated to solicit cooperation from both the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Opposition MLAs.
