Sambalpur: To promote Odia cuisines, the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation has extended its popular dining experience ‘Nimantran’ to Sambalpur. The third branch of Nimantran has been inaugurated at the historic 17th-century Rani Bakhri, the revered Queens Palace in Sambalpur.
The launch of the restaurant at Rani Bakhri is not just a gastronomic experience but a cultural celebration, inviting both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the true essence of Odisha.
Nimantran’s fusion with the historical ambiance of the Queen’s Palace promises a regal dining experience. Placed strategically, the new establishment aims to transport patrons to the royal era while indulging in the finest Odia cuisine.
Dr. Lenin Mohanty, Chairman of OTDC, noted, “The local cuisine serves as a window for tourists to understand the area and its people. Through the ‘Nimantran’ restaurant of OTDC, both tourism and culinary experiences are set to gain popularity.”
Managed by OTDC through a dedicated wing, these restaurants will offer a diverse range of authentic Odia cuisines. A special menu, crafted by prominent chefs, will showcase the rich flavours of Odisha.
