NIELIT Delhi Hosts Successful “Yuva Rojgar Mela,” Connecting Job Seekers with Top Employers

New Delhi: The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, organized a successful job fair, “Yuva Rojgar Mela,” at its Delhi office in Janakpuri today. The event aimed to provide placement opportunities for NIELIT alumni and students, with over 1,300 job seekers registering for the fair and 16 companies participating to fill more than 1,000 job openings.

The job fair was inaugurated by Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General of NIELIT and Vice Chancellor of NIELIT Deemed to be University, who served as the event’s Chief Guest. Subhanshu Tiwari, Executive Director of NIELIT Delhi, welcomed Dr. Tripathi, who inaugurated the fair with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a keynote address.

In his speech, Dr. Tripathi emphasized the importance of job fairs in bridging the skill divide and providing skilled professionals with pathways to fulfilling careers. “NIELIT job fairs across India empowered thousands of students last year, with over 6,000 offer letters issued. This year, we aim to surpass that milestone. These events not only benefit students but also contribute to the growth of companies and the nation’s economy,” he stated.

The job fair featured placement desks for renowned companies like Tech Mahindra, PAYTM, Axis Bank, Frankfinn, Hinduja Housing Finance, and Ebix Cash, among others. These companies offered a wide range of positions across industries such as finance, healthcare, IT, and customer services, providing ample opportunities for job seekers.

An informative session on “Soft Skills and CV Building” was conducted by Shri Mohammad Junaid, Assistant Manager at the Digital India Corporation, MeitY. The session focused on helping candidates improve their resumes and presentation skills, a key factor in landing job opportunities.

Companies participating in the event expressed their satisfaction with the quality of candidates and the organizational efficiency of NIELIT. The event successfully connected skilled job seekers with prospective employers, further strengthening NIELIT’s role in enhancing employability across India.

The “Yuva Rojgar Mela” not only facilitated placements but also fostered valuable interactions between job seekers and industry leaders, underscoring the importance of bridging the gap between education and employment.
