New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, successfully conducted the NEET PG 2024 examination today. The examination, crucial for postgraduate medical admissions, was held at 416 centers spread across 170 cities.
The NEET PG 2024 examination was conducted in two shifts on the same day, allowing NBEMS to select the best and most reputed centers for the exam. Admit cards were issued to 2,28,540 candidates, with efforts made to allocate examination centers within the candidates’ home states as far as possible.
To ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the examination, NBEMS established a central command center at its Dwarka office in Delhi. Officials from the Union Health Ministry, Governing Body NBEMS, and the Executive Director of NBEMS, along with their teams, closely monitored the process.
Over 1,950 independent appraisers and 300 flying squad members were deployed to oversee the examination at various centers, with additional supervision provided by eight regional command centers across the country.
In a bid to prevent misinformation and ensure that candidates and stakeholders received only accurate information, NBEMS closely monitored social media platforms throughout the examination day.
