The team, comprising five officers, 17 permanent instructors, and 24 cadets (12 boys and 12 girls) from various NCC directorates, will attempt to scale the challenging peak by the end of June 2024. This diverse group reflects the NCC’s commitment to providing opportunities for adventure and personal growth to young cadets from all over India.

Lt Gen Singh encouraged the cadets to approach the expedition with composure, courage, professionalism, and an indomitable spirit.

“The NCC has always played a pivotal role in nurturing the potential of our youth. This mountaineering expedition is not just a test of physical endurance but also a journey of self-discovery and leadership,” Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh stated.

The expedition to Mount Kang Yatse-II is a significant milestone for the NCC, reinforcing its legacy of fostering adventure and resilience among the youth.
