National Conference on GST Enforcement to Strengthen Resolve Against Tax Evasion

New Delhi:  To bolster the enforcement of Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Department of Revenue, operating under the Ministry of Finance, is set to host a National Conference of Enforcement Chiefs from all State and Central GST formations in New Delhi on Monday, March 4.

The conference will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who will also deliver the keynote address. Union Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, is also expected to be present, emphasizing the significance of the event.

The key focal points of the one-day conference include:

  1. Combating GST Evasion: Participants will delve into the existing challenges faced in curbing GST evasion, examining successful methodologies employed by both State and Central enforcement authorities.
