New Delhi: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) marked its 19th Foundation Day at Jacaranda Hall, Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi, today. The celebration included the acknowledgment of children from various parts of the country who actively participated in the Commission’s Pariksha Parv campaign. Dignitaries, including Chairpersons and Members from all the State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCRs), were also present to commemorate this significant occasion.

The event was graced by the presence of Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson, NCPCR, Preeti Bharadwaj Dalal, Member NCPCR, Dr. Divya Gupta, Member NCPCR, and Rupali Banerjee Singh, Member Secretary NCPCR.

He shared that the NCPCR has organized 172 benches and camps across the country, even in remote areas, to address children’s issues effectively. Through social audits of Child Care Institutions, around 1,45,000 children have been repatriated.

As part of the Pariksha Parv 6.0 campaign, Kanoongo mentioned an activity encouraging small video messages from children expressing their experiences, routines, and methods for dealing with exam stress and anxiety. Over 6500 videos from children across India have been received and are being showcased on the Commission’s social media platforms with parental consent.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to children and their parents who attended the function, recognizing their enthusiastic participation in Pariksha Parv 6.0. The celebration reflected the Commission’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and protection of children across the country.
