
The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from superhit film RRR has won the Golden Globes for Best Original Song in the Best Non-English Language Film category at the 80th Golden Globes.
Directed by SS Rajamouli’s the movie RRR is a blockbuster movie released in 2022. The movie gained fan base across the globe.
Composed by MM Keeravani and sang by singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj, the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ became one of the hit dance track in 2022 for its hook steps and music featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
With this win, ‘Naatu Naatu’ became the first Indian and the Asian song to win a Golden globe award.
The song was competing against Taylor Swift’s “Carolina” from Where the Crawdads Sing, “Ciao Papa” from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, and “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, performed by Rihanna.
