Mumbai Indians Celebrate Education and Sports for All (ESA) Day with Convincing Win and Heartfelt Messages

Mumbai: The Mumbai Indians clinched a resounding victory against the Delhi Capitals on ESA (Education and Sports for All) Day, held at the vibrant Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The match, attended by 18,000 children from various NGOs across Mumbai, became a memorable occasion as Mrs. Nita M Ambani, owner of the Mumbai Indians, and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, the team’s icon, shared their insights and aspirations for the ESA initiative.

Mrs. Ambani, known for her unwavering commitment to philanthropy and youth empowerment, took the time to engage with the children in the stands, fostering an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Reflecting on the significance of ESA Day, she emphasized the transformative power of sports and education, stating, “Sport does not discriminate, and talent can come from anywhere. I hope these children take back cherished memories and the courage to believe in their dreams.”

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar, fondly reminiscing about his earliest experiences in the stadium, commended Mrs. Ambani’s vision in providing life-changing experiences for children. He underscored the importance of nurturing young talent, affirming, “Children are the future. If we want a better tomorrow, we need to act today.”

Both Mrs. Ambani and Tendulkar highlighted the invaluable lessons that sports impart, from discipline to resilience, echoing the ethos of ESA. Mrs. Ambani revealed, “ESA opens doors to millions of opportunities for children from the remotest corners of India.”

ESA, a flagship initiative of the Mumbai Indians, embodies the fusion of education and sports, aiming to make these experiences accessible to children from diverse backgrounds. Since its inception in 2010, ESA has remained integral to Mumbai Indians’ commitment to entertaining and inspiring young minds.

Under the guiding philosophy of ‘We Care,’ Reliance Foundation, through ESA, has impacted the lives of over 22 million children across India, providing holistic development opportunities in education and sports.

As ESA continues to pave the way for a brighter future, Mumbai Indians, players, staff, and coaches alike eagerly anticipate ESA Day, cherishing the opportunity to play in front of passionate young fans.

ESA Day serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of sports and education in shaping the lives of future generations, embodying the spirit of hope, resilience, and inclusivity.
