Ministry of Coal Unveils PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan for Transforming Coal Logistics Ecosystem

New Delhi: The Ministry of Coal, led by Anandji Prasad, Advisor (Projects), has unveiled the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan. This visionary initiative aims to revolutionize the coal logistics ecosystem, fostering a smart, integrated, and sustainable infrastructure. The primary objectives include optimizing logistics costs, promoting modernization through state-of-the-art technology, and ensuring the availability of robust infrastructure crucial for the coal sector’s growth. This strategic release marks a significant leap forward, aligning with the government’s commitment to transforming the coal industry and streamlining infrastructure planning and execution.

The PM-Gati Shakti Project, National Master Plan, represents a pioneering effort geared towards synchronized and holistic planning for infrastructure connectivity projects. By providing a comprehensive database of existing, ongoing, and future projects under various central and state government ministries, the initiative seeks to enhance multimodal connectivity, drive economic growth, and attract foreign investments.

The Ministry of Coal has been at the forefront of this integration, playing a leading role in incorporating various layers and analytical tools on the PM-Gati Shakti portal. This portal includes crucial GIS layers such as coalfield boundaries, coal evacuation systems, location of railway sidings, and land asset data.
