Mahindra Group Chairman Offers Job to Girl Who Used Alexa to Ward Off Monkey Attack

New Delhi: In a remarkable display of courage and quick thinking, a 13-year-old girl from Basti district in Uttar Pradesh saved herself and her younger sister from a monkey attack by using Amazon’s virtual voice assistant, Alexa. Moved by her ingenuity, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra extended a job offer to the brave girl.

According to reports, when confronted with a monkey entering her sister’s home, the girl swiftly commanded Alexa to emit a dog’s barking sound, hoping to scare away the primate. Miraculously, her tactic worked, and she successfully averted a potentially dangerous situation.

Anand Mahindra took to his official social media handle to praise the girl’s resourcefulness and resilience in the face of adversity. He highlighted the incident as a testament to the empowering potential of technology in enhancing human ingenuity.

“The dominant question of our era is whether we will become slaves or masters of technology. The story of this young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an enabler of human ingenuity. Her quick thinking was extraordinary,” Mahindra remarked.

Expressing admiration for her remarkable display of leadership qualities in navigating an unpredictable situation, Mahindra expressed his hope that she would consider joining the Mahindra Group in the future.

“After she finishes her education, If she ever decides to work in the corporate world I hope we at @MahindraRise will be able to convince her to join us!!” the chairman added, emphasizing the value of her potential contributions in an ever-evolving world.

The incident not only underscores the importance of harnessing technology for innovative solutions but also serves as an inspiring reminder of individual courage and resourcefulness in the face of unexpected challenges.
