Mahima Gosain Express Coach Derails Near Sambalpur, No Injuries Reported

Sambalpur: A minor derailment was reported this morning when a trolley of a general coach of Train No. 20831 Mahima Gosain Express derailed near Sambalpur city. The incident occurred at 9:22 AM, just minutes after the train departed from Sambalpur City station at 9:18 AM, heading towards Sambalpur Junction.

Railway officials confirmed that the train was moving at a very slow speed when the derailment took place between the Sambalpur City and Sambalpur section. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage to property. The rest of the train, excluding the affected coach, continued its journey to Sambalpur with all passengers on board safely.

Senior railway officials, including the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), promptly reached the site to oversee the situation. Restoration work was initiated immediately to resume normal traffic, and an inquiry has been launched to determine the cause of the derailment.
