Koraput: In a remarkable demonstration of engineering prowess and unwavering determination, the disrupted railway line between Manabar and Jarati stations in Odisha’s Koraput-Jagadalpur section has been brought back to life after a landslide incident that occurred on September 13, 2023. This railway corridor, an integral part of the Kottavalasa-Koraput-Kirandul (KK) Rail Line, plays a pivotal role in the region’s transportation network, threading its way through the formidable Eastern Ghats Mountain range.
The affected stretch, located in close proximity to Koraput, had posed a formidable challenge to railway authorities. However, their resolute efforts, supported by heavy machinery and a dedicated workforce, succeeded in clearing the tracks of debris and mud within a remarkably short span of 27 days.
