Bhubaneswar: Spectators witnessed a mix of emerging talent and seasoned excellence on the third day of the Junior & Senior Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2026–27, as competitions intensified across both junior and senior categories.
The Junior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Individual All-Around event saw Harschit Damodaran deliver a commanding performance to claim gold with a score of 73.700. His routine stood out for its balance of precision and consistency across apparatus.
Close behind, Akshat Bajaj secured the silver medal with 69.866, while SK Nabigh Ali finished third with 69.767, making for a tightly contested podium finish.
In the senior team competition, the Railways Sports Promotion Board delivered a dominant performance to take the championship title with a total of 220.533. The Services Sports Control Board followed in second place with 211.767, while Maharashtra secured third with 211.203.
The day’s events were attended by prominent dignitaries, including Sudhir Mittal, along with senior officials from the sports administration, lending further importance to the championship.
With strong performances across categories, the event continues to underline the rapid progress of gymnastics in India, while providing a competitive platform for athletes aiming for national and international success.
