J30 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Tournament 2024 Begins

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) proudly inaugurated the J30 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Tournament 2024, set to take place from May 4th to May 10th, 2024, at the Tennis Centre, Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

This esteemed event signifies a significant achievement for the region as it welcomes young tennis talents from around the world. With over 800 tournaments hosted in 140 countries, the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors provides a global platform for emerging tennis stars to exhibit their prowess and compete at an international level.

A total of 115 participants hailing from Nepal, Canada, the USA, and the host nation India will vie for top honors across both singles and doubles categories. The tournament boasts a draw size of 32 for both boys and girls in the qualifying rounds, offering four coveted spots in the main draw.

The grand opening ceremony of the tournament unfolded on Sunday, May 5th, in the esteemed presence of Asit Tripathy, President of OTA, Satyajit Mohanty, Secretary of OTA, alongside Tournament Director Cum Joint Secretary of OTA, Sanjeeb Panda, and esteemed dignitaries including Joint Secretary of the Department of Sports, Bijayananda Nayak. ITF Supervisor Prabin Kumar Nayak is overseeing the tournament’s adherence to ITF regulations.

Players will battle it out for valuable ranking points, with the winners earning 30 points in the singles category and 25 points in the doubles category, further enhancing their standings in the global tennis arena.
