International Scholar Prof. Arlo Griffiths arrives in Bhubaneswar to attend World Odia Language Conference

Bhubaneswar: The eminent international scholar and historian, Prof. Arlo Griffiths, reached the city to partake in the inaugural World Odia Language Conference, set to commence tomorrow at Janata Maidan in the capital city.

This unprecedented event, dedicated to the Odia language, promises a myriad of activities and boasts the presence of distinguished participants from across the nation, as well as international delegates.

As linguists, researchers, and writers from around the globe gather in Bhubaneswar for the three-day conference, Prof. Griffiths, an Indologist and Sanskritist specializing in the ancient epigraphy and philology of India and Southeast Asia, adds his expertise to the distinguished lineup. Arriving from France, he will engage in a special discussion during the second-day program.

The conference is set to feature 16 academic sessions covering a range of topics related to the Odia language, literature, and cultural heritage. A dedicated session on Jagannath Consciousness will also be a highlight of this momentous event.
