New Delhi: In the latest political development, industrialist and former Congress leader Naveen Jindal has joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, just weeks ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The BJP, unveiling its fifth list for the polls, announced that Jindal will contest from Kurukshetra, the constituency he previously represented from 2004 to 2024.

I thank the Congress leadership and the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Today, I am resigning from the primary membership of the Congress Party,”
BJP general secretary, Vinod Tawde said that Jindal’s entry into the BJP will bolster the government’s agenda of advancing the country’s economy and prosperity.
