New Delhi: In a surprising turn of events, acclaimed Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to plunge into the political arena as she gears up to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, on the ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The announcement came as the BJP released its fifth list of candidates for the parliamentary polls, featuring Kangana as one of the prominent nominees.

Kangana Ranaut, a vocal supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed her excitement and gratitude on social media following the revelation of her candidature. Taking to a microblogging site, she conveyed her feelings of honor and elation at officially joining the BJP and being nominated as the party’s candidate from her birthplace, Mandi.

In her post, Kangana expressed her unwavering support for the BJP, referring to it as “Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party.” She pledged to abide by the decision of the party’s national leadership and vowed to serve as a dedicated karyakarta (worker) and a trustworthy public servant.
