Indian Women’s Cricket team reaches Commonwealth Games women’s T20 final

Birmingham: India reaches the final of the Commonwealth Games women’s T20 after defeating England by four runs in a thrilling semifinal at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Batting first India set a target of 164 runs.

India will now face either Australia or New Zealand for the gold medal match in the final on Sunday while England will play for the bronze medal match scheduled for the same day.

Smriti Mandhana scored 61runs, Jemimah Rodrigues made 44 runs and was not out. Best in the boiling side from India were Sneh Rana took 2 wickets for 28, while Deepti Sharma took 1-18.

England team manage to make 160-6 in 20 overs. Nat Sciver scored 41, Danni Wyatt scored 35.
