Indian Railways Sets Limca Book of Records for Largest Public Service Event Across Multiple Venues

New Delhi: Indian Railways has made history by entering the prestigious Limca Book of Records for hosting the largest public service event attended by the most people across multiple venues. This remarkable achievement was accomplished during an event organized by the Ministry of Railways on February 26, 2024.

The event, which drew an astounding 40,19,516 participants, was held simultaneously at 2,140 venues nationwide. It marked the inauguration of several road over/under railway bridges and the laying of foundation stones for new railway stations, officiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This massive mobilization and coordinated effort by Indian Railways have been officially recognized and recorded in the Limca Book of Records, reflecting the organization’s dedication to enhancing the country’s infrastructure and public services.
