
Kochi: Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, presided over a series of operational level discussions held by the Indian Navy in Kochi from August 27 to 30, 2024. The four-day event saw participation from the Commanders-in-Chief, senior leadership of the Indian Navy, and representatives from sister services, Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQIDS), and the Indian Coast Guard.
The discussions focused on the Navy’s operational concepts, responses to various maritime scenarios, and enhancing synergy with the other branches of the Indian Armed Forces, the Coast Guard, and other maritime agencies.
A key aspect of the deliberations was the analysis of the latest developments in warfare, aiming to strengthen joint efforts and coordination across services. The participants identified areas where greater synergy could be achieved and discussed technological support, operational logistics, and manpower optimization to address the growing maritime challenges faced by the nation.
