
Indian Navy Chief Flags Off Chadar Trek Expedition in Ladakh
Mumbai: Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, ceremoniously flagged off the Indian Navy Chadar Trek expedition on the Frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh at INS Shivaji on January 16, 2024. The Chief of the Naval Staff handed over the ceremonial Ice Axe to the team leader, Cdr Navneet Malik, extending his best wishes for a successful expedition.
Comprising 14 members, the expedition is set to scale the summit at an elevation of 11,000 feet, where the team will unfurl the National flag and Naval Ensign, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of adventure and resilience inherent in the Indian Navy.
The Chadar Trek expedition not only showcases the adventurous ethos of the Indian Navy but also underscores the commitment to nurturing a robust and resilient workforce capable of confronting challenges and adverse weather conditions.
