Indian Men’s Hockey Team Defeats Japan to Win Bronze medal in Asia Cup 2022

Jakarta: Under the captaincy of Birendra Lakra, the Indian men’s hockey team won the bronze medal in the Hero Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Japan 1-0 win at the GBK Sports Complex Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.

Rajkumar Pal put India ahead early in the first quarter and the team managed to hold on to the lead.

This is the second time that India has finished third in 11 Asia Cup appearances.

South Korea will face Malaysia in the final.
