Displaying his trademark power, Harmanpreet (2′) executed a flawless dragflick that found the back of the net, giving India an early advantage. The first quarter concluded with Abhishek (13′) capitalizing on an attacking move, doubling India’s lead just before the break.

Despite South Africa’s persistent attacks in the second quarter, the Indian defense demonstrated composure and resilience, denying their opponents any breakthrough. Sumit (30′) further extended India’s lead with a well-executed field goal just before halftime, solidifying their dominance.

The third quarter witnessed spirited efforts from both sides, with South Africa attempting to mount a comeback. However, the Indian defense stood firm, ensuring a goalless quarter and maintaining their three-goal cushion.
