Indian Coast Guard Unveils ‘Suvidha Software Version 1.0’

Visakhapatnam: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) launched its innovative ‘Suvidha Software Version 1.0’ at the inaugural ‘Annual Operational Sea Training Conference’ held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on July 30, 2024. This cutting-edge software is designed to enhance training protocols and ensure uniformity across all ICG platforms, marking a significant advancement in the ICG’s operational training capabilities.

The event was marked by a keynote address from Inspector General Anupam Rai, Deputy Director General (Sea Training), who highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of excellence and adaptability within the ICG. “The launch of Suvidha Software Version 1.0 is a testament to our commitment to integrating advanced technology in our training modules, ensuring that our personnel are well-prepared to tackle the dynamic challenges of maritime security,” said IG Anupam Rai.

Senior officers from various ICG regions participated actively in the conference, which underscored the necessity of a unified approach to complex maritime operations. The conference served as a vital platform for discussing best practices, sharing insights, and aligning strategies to enhance the ICG’s operational readiness and effectiveness.
