New Delhi: An Indian Army contingent of 25 personnel left for Jakarta, Indonesia, to participate in the 9th edition of Exercise GARUD SHAKTI, a joint Special Forces exercise with the Indonesian Army, scheduled to run from November 1 to November 12, 2024. Representing India in the exercise are troops from The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces), while Indonesia will be represented by 40 personnel from its elite Special Forces unit, Kopassus.

Exercise GARUD SHAKTI 24 aims to enhance cooperation, interoperability, and mutual understanding between the Special Forces of the two nations.
