
Sriharikota: Taking forward the ambitious lunar mission and to become the fourth country to execute a controlled landing on the moon, India successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
Developed by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the Chandrayan blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
It is expected to soft-land on the surface of the moon after 40 days on August 23. If the craft lands successfully on the moon, then India will be the fourth to do so after, Russia, the United States of America and China.
