The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India and the Information Technologies and Communications of Colombia.

The exchange of the MoU took place between Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Jal Shakti, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, and Mr. Mauricio Lizcano, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of Colombia. Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY, and Mr. Mauricio Lizcano represented India and Colombia, respectively, as the signatories.

The primary objective of the MoU is to promote digital transformation, particularly through initiatives like INDIA STACK, which involves capacity-building programs, the exchange of best practices, sharing of public officials and experts, development of pilot or demo solutions, and facilitating private sector contacts. India expressed a keen interest in partnering with Colombia to build upon the existing development partnership on digital transformation. The collaboration aims to facilitate the smooth adoption of Digital Public Infrastructure in Colombia, aligning with both countries’ goals for enhanced digital inclusivity and accessibility.

The signing of this MoU reflects the commitment of India and Colombia to harnessing digital technologies for the benefit of their citizens and fostering international cooperation in the realm of digital transformation. This strategic collaboration is poised to drive innovation, efficiency, and inclusive digital development in both nations.
