New Delhi: In a significant move to bolster skill development and entrepreneurship in India, Union Minister for MSME, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Minister of State for MSME, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, inaugurated the New Skill Development Training Programme at the NSIC Technical Service Centre (NTSC) in Okhla, New Delhi.
The inauguration ceremony began with a welcome address by Dr. S.S Acharya, who underscored the importance of skill development in strengthening the MSME sector. He highlighted NSIC’s dedication to offering world-class training facilities aimed at empowering youth and budding entrepreneurs.
A landmark moment of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NSIC and M/s Drone Destination. This MoU aims to integrate advanced drone technology training into existing skill development programs, providing MSMEs with a competitive advantage in an increasingly technological world. Additionally, MoUs were signed with three banks under NSIC’s Credit Facilitation scheme to further support MSMEs.
The newly launched skill development training programs are meticulously designed to equip entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge, ensuring their success in various fields. Speaking at the event, Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized the pivotal role of the MSME sector in the Indian economy. “Today’s event marks a new chapter in our journey towards a skilled and empowered India. Empowering rural entrepreneurs is a priority to ensure holistic growth of the MSME sector,” he stated.
Sushri Shobha Karandlaje echoed this sentiment, highlighting the vision to create a robust ecosystem that nurtures talent and fosters innovation. “These training programs are a step towards realizing this vision,” she remarked.
Secretary (MSME) S.C.L. Das emphasized the critical role of MSMEs in the technology sector, particularly in making India a global drone hub. He assured that the Ministry would leave no stone unturned in this journey.
An exhibition was also organized at the venue, featuring products from NSIC-trained entrepreneurs who have successfully established their businesses. Both ministers interacted with the entrepreneurs at their stalls, congratulating them on their achievements and encouraging them to continue their efforts.
