IIT Bhubaneswar Wraps Up 10th E-Summit with Grand Celebration of Entrepreneurial Spirit

Bhubaneswar:  The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar successfully concluded its 10th Edition of E-Summit from 2nd to 4th February 2024, a landmark event that marked a decade of promoting innovation, collaboration, and growth within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Themed “Digital Renaissance: Entrepreneurial Resurgence,” the mega annual event showcased a dazzling display of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial zeal.

The inaugural ceremony, graced by Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, President-Odisha & Chhattisgarh, Vedanta Limited, set the tone for the three-day summit. As an Indian mining veteran, executive, and author, Dr. Chand emphasized the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and development.

Over the next two days, the E-Summit’24 featured keynote speakers who shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, alongside workshops, competitions, and panel discussions. The Startup Expo and Innovation Expo provided a platform for participants to showcase their potential, while the investors’ drive aimed to connect budding entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, and like-minded individuals.

A standout feature of this edition was the dummy IPL Auction, where aspiring entrepreneurs had the opportunity to connect with industry experts and potential investors. The event facilitated meaningful interactions, fostering collaboration and growth within the entrepreneurial community.

This year, the E-Summit also hosted a special event for school children, coordinated by Dr. Venugopal Arumuru and sponsored by the Design and Innovation Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar. The initiative aimed to instill the entrepreneurial spirit in young minds, nurturing the next generation of innovators and leaders.

The coordination of the event was led by a dedicated team of students, mentored by Dr. Sreetama Misra, the Chairperson. Mr. S. Rutvij Ahlaad, Chief Coordinator of E-Summit’24, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and collaborators. The event was attended by Dean Students Affairs, Prof. Rajesh Roshan Dash, President Student Gymkhana, faculty, and staff members of IIT Bhubaneswar.

Endorsed by corporations such as Rinex, Vedanta, Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited, Design and Innovation Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar, Starup Centre, IIT Bhubaneswar, Odisha Computer Application Centre, Unacademy, and Odisha Hydro Power Corporation, the 10th edition of the Entrepreneurship Fest celebrated resilience, creativity, and the power of entrepreneurship. With over 2500 attendees, the E-Summit’24 marked a grand success, reinforcing its position as a leading platform for fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
