
Bhubaneswar: The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has issued a yellow and orange warning for an intense heatwave in multiple districts of Odisha, cautioning residents about the rising temperatures and dry weather conditions.
The warning, valid for the next few days, comes as a response to the prevailing northwesterly/westerly dry air and high solar insolation, indicating a significant increase in day temperatures across the state.

Yellow Warning: Heatwave conditions are likely in several districts, including Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and Bargarh.

Dry weather expected to continue.
Orange Warning: Heatwave to severe heatwave conditions expected in Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Gajapati, and Nayagarh.
Yellow Warning: Heatwave conditions expected in several districts, including Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Angul, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and Bargarh.
