Govt Approves Major Road Development Projects in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi: In a significant push towards enhancing road infrastructure and promoting economic growth, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced two major road development projects for Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

In Andhra Pradesh, the Ministry has sanctioned ₹252.42 crore for the upgradation and development of a 6-lane elevated corridor in Ranasthalam, Srikakulam. The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion, improve road safety, and enhance urban mobility in the region. “This project will not only reduce congestion but also stimulate economic activities, contributing to an improved quality of life for the region’s residents,” Gadkari shared on social media. The elevated corridor is expected to create new socio-economic opportunities while easing the daily commute for thousands of travelers.

Gadkari also announced the approval of ₹903.44 crore for the upgradation and development of the Gyaraspur to Rahatgarh section of National Highway-146 in Madhya Pradesh. This project is a crucial part of the Bhopal-Kanpur corridor and is set to strengthen regional trade and commerce by improving connectivity. The enhanced road network will boost economic activities, benefiting businesses and local communities alike.

These initiatives reflect the government’s continued commitment to expanding road infrastructure, improving regional connectivity, and driving economic development across India. Both projects are expected to play a pivotal role in stimulating local economies and improving the quality of life for residents.
