French President Emmanuel Macron Sets Ambitious Goal of 30,000 Indian Students in France by 2030

New Delhi: In a significant announcement during his visit as the chief guest at the Republic Day parade, French President Emmanuel Macron unveiled an ambitious target for fostering educational ties between France and India. Macron declared a goal of welcoming over 30,000 Indian students to France by the year 2030, highlighting the strong commitment to enhancing educational collaboration between the two nations.

Expressing his determination to achieve this ambitious target, President Macron shared his vision on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “30,000 Indian students in France in 2030. It’s a very ambitious target, but I am determined to make it happen.”

To facilitate this endeavor, Macron outlined concrete measures to support Indian students in pursuing education in France. He emphasized the development of an extensive network of Alliances françaises, with the establishment of new centers dedicated to learning the French language. Furthermore, the French President revealed plans for creating international classes designed to accommodate students who may not be proficient in French, enabling them to seamlessly integrate into French universities.
