Excitement Builds as FIH Pro League 2023/24 Kicks Off in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The stage is set for the FIH Pro League 2023/24, and the anticipation is palpable as the Indian Women’s Hockey Team prepares to face off against reigning Asian Games Champions China in their opening match on 3rd February. With the world’s best teams in action, Hockey India has announced the commencement of offline ticket sales for the Bhubaneswar leg of the tournament.

Starting Wednesday, fans can purchase tickets offline between 11.00 AM and 6.00 PM at Gate No. 9 of the Kalinga Hockey Stadium, Bhubaneswar. The West Stand and East Stand tickets are priced at Rs.500 and Rs.200, respectively, while North Stand and South Stand tickets are available at Rs.100.

The Kalinga Hockey Stadium is set to host 10 matches for the Women’s teams from 3rd to 9th February, followed by 10 matches for the Men’s teams from 10th to 16th February. The participating Women’s teams include the United States of America, China, the Netherlands, Australia, and India. On the Men’s side, the teams include the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Ireland, and India. Each team will compete against each other once in this exciting mini-tournament.

Dr. Dilip Tirkey, President of Hockey India, expressed his delight at the launch of physical ticket sales, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome fans once again to witness the enthralling hockey action at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium, Bhubaneswar, starting from February 3rd. The top nations from around the world will be competing in this prestigious league, and we invite fans from all corners of the nation to witness this thrilling sporting spectacle.”

In addition to offline ticket sales, Hockey India had previously announced online ticket availability for all Women’s and Men’s matches in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Fans can purchase tickets online from www.ticketgenie.in, eliminating the need for physical ticket redemption.

For those unable to attend in person, all matches of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24 will be streamed on JioCinema. Additionally, Sports18 – Khel will telecast all India matches, ensuring fans across the nation stay connected with the action on the field.
