Bhubaneswar: The enchanting evenings of February have become a backdrop for a gastronomic and entertainment spectacle at Ekamra Utsav, meticulously organized by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority at the Exhibition Ground from February 3rd to 9th. Within the lively ambiance, visitors are immersing themselves in a symphony of flavours at ‘Ama Byanjana,’ the festival’s gastronomic haven.
At the core of Ekamra Utsav lies ‘Odia Byanjan,’ acting as a magnet for diverse crowds, ranging from Mission Shakti representatives to prominent hotel chains. This year’s celebration showcases 20 food stalls, featuring contributions from various sectors, including the State government’s Mission Shakti, Millet Mission, and Koraput Coffee, alongside renowned local hotels.
On the inaugural day, approximately 2,000 people flocked to the food festival, expressing their delight at the extensive range of cuisines available.
In the true spirit of Ekamra Festival, Mission Shakti presents authentic Odia dishes such as rice, karanji, magaj laddu, malpua, chhenapoda, khaseri pakoda, Dhenkanal bara, Cuttack dahibara aloodam, and handi sarbat, offering a delectable journey through the rich culinary heritage of the State.
Furthermore, Koraput Coffee and Millet Mission contribute to a unique experience, allowing attendees to savor Koraput’s renowned coffee on winter evenings alongside millet-made ladu pie, adding a distinctive flavor to the festive atmosphere. The culinary extravaganza at Ekamra Utsav promises to be a feast for the senses, uniting food enthusiasts in a celebration of Odisha’s diverse and delectable culinary heritage.
