East Coast Railway Introduces More Summer Special Trains to Cater to Passenger Demand

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to meet the growing demand for travel during the summer season, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the introduction of additional Summer Special Trains connecting various destinations across the country. These special train services aim to provide passengers with convenient and comfortable travel options while ensuring safety and reliability.

The decision to roll out more Summer Special Trains comes as part of Indian Railways’ efforts to address the surge in passenger traffic during the summer months. These special services will offer travelers flexibility in planning their journeys, whether for leisure, pilgrimage, or business purposes.

Among the newly announced Summer Special Trains from the ECoR jurisdiction are:

Bhubaneswar-Mumbai LTT Weekly Summer Special (Train No. 08420/08419): Operating every Wednesday from May 8th to June 26th, 2024, this train will depart from Bhubaneswar at 23:00 hrs and return from Mumbai LTT at 13:20 hrs every Friday.

Secunderabad-Brahmapur-Secunderabad Summer Special (Train No. 07035/07036): Scheduled to run from Secunderabad on May 11th and 14th, 2024, with return trips from Brahmapur on May 12th and 15th, 2024.

Surat-Brahmapur-Surat Special (Train No. 09059/09060): Departing from Surat on Wednesdays between May 22nd to June 26th, 2024, and returning from Brahmapur on Fridays between May 24th to June 28th, 2024.

Chennai Egmore-Bhubaneswar-Chennai Egmore Special (Train No. 06107/06108): Operating from Chennai Egmore on May 11th and June 1st, 2024, and from Bhubaneswar on May 12th and June 7th, 2024.

Chennai Egmore-Sambalpur-Chennai Egmore Special (Train No. 06109/06110): Departing from Chennai Egmore on May 18th and June 7th, 2024, and from Sambalpur on May 19th and June 8th, 2024.

These special train services complement ECoR’s ongoing efforts to provide enhanced travel options to passengers. Additionally, the ECoR has augmented coaches in popular trains experiencing high demand to accommodate more passengers comfortably.

As travelers gear up for summer excursions, the East Coast Railway remains committed to delivering a safe, convenient, and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers. With the introduction of more Summer Special Trains, ECoR endeavors to meet the diverse travel needs of its valued passengers, ensuring a seamless journey throughout the season.
